ترکیب صید خرچنگ‌های حقیقی در مشتاهای مستقر در نوار ساحلی شهر بندرعباس به مدت یک سال از دی ماه 1401 تا دی ماه 1402 مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. نمونه برداری به صورت ماهانه و از مشتاهای واقع در مناطق سورو، خواجه عطاء و نخل ناخدای بندرعباس انجام شد. شناسایی خرچنگ‌ها بر اساس خصوصیات ظاهری و به کمک کلیدهای شناسایی انجام شد. همچنین اطلاعات زیست سنجی خرچنگ‌های غالب شامل طول وعرض کاراپاس و وزن نمونه ها اندازه گیری شد. در طی دوره مورد مطالعه تعداد 4 گونه خرچنگ متعلق به 2 خانواده Portunidae و Matutidae شناسایی شد. از خانواده Portunidae گونه های Portunus segnis، P. sanguinolentus و Charybdis annulata در صید مشتاها مشاهده شدند و از خانواده Matutidae تنها گونه Matuta planipes شناسایی شد. ترکیب صید گونه ها نشان داد که گونه P. segnis با اختصاص79/4 درصد گونه غالب و سپس به ترتیب خرچنگ‌هایP. sanguinolentus (19/4درصد) وC. annulata (0/7درصد) و M. planipes (0/4درصد) به لحاظ صید به خود اختصاص داده بودند. بررسی صید ماهانه و فصلی گونه ها نشان داد که در طی دوره مطالعاتی در صید مشتاهای سه منطقه سورو ، خواجه عطا و نخل ناخدا، گونه ی P. segnis در همه ی ماه های سال مشاهده شده است و گونه ی P. sanguinolentus در مشتای منطقه نخل ناخدا ، اغلب در شش ماهه دوم سال از مهر ماه تا اسفند و در منطقه خواجه عطا و تنها در فصل بهار و پاییز و در ماه های فروردین تا خرداد و مهرماه مشاهده شدند. در حالی که در مشتای منطقه سورو و در طی دوره مورد مطالعه مشاهده نشدند. سایر گونه ها شامل گونه ی C. annulata و M. planipes به صورت موردی و در برخی از ماه های سال و فقط در منطقه نخل ناخدا یافت شدند. دامنه عرض کاراپاس خرچنگ‌های نر و ماده برای گونه غالب P. segins در طول مورد مطالعه متفاوت بوده، به طوری که عرض کاراپاس خرچنگ‌های نر بین 149-21 میلی‌متر(با میانگین 81/33 ±2/29 میلی‌متر) و در خرچنگ‌های ماده بین 124-23 میلی‌متر (با میانگین 88/45 ±2/47 میلی‌متر) متغییر بود.
