Abstract:   (2654 Views)
An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of nutrient supplement symbiotic on growth performance and hematological indices in rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss). Fish were fed with three experimental diets contained 0.5,1 and 1.5 g synbiotic per kg feed and a control diet with no synbiotic for 60 days. All three experimental treatments showed significantly higher final mean weight and specific growth rate compared to control treatment. Moreover, all three experimental treatments supplemented with synbiotic showed significant (p<0.05) increases in white blood cell, red blood cell, Haemoglobin and Haematocrit compared to control treatment.
